In an attempt to keep criminals from stealing your biometrical data, you can turn your locked phone into a biometric lock.
Read moreThe company that’s building the biometric security technology said it could work on smartphones up to 1,000 times faster than a conventional fingerprint scanner.
It’s designed to make it possible to log in to apps and services on Windows, iOS and Android devices as well as BlackBerry 10 devices.
The new security solution could be used in the home and office.
It can be installed by attaching a Bluetooth remote control to a Samsung phone that has been fitted with a Samsung-designed sensor and an embedded biometric authentication chip.
The remote controls are then embedded in the phone.
The system works by detecting when a smartphone’s sensor detects the presence of a user’s fingerprint.
When a user swipes the fingerprint sensor, it’s detected as a finger on the screen.
That information is transmitted to the chip, which in turn transmits the biometra data to the smartphone.
A phone can be made to detect a user fingerprint, but it needs to be attached to the phone to do this.
Samsung’s biometriometric security solution is an additional layer of security on top of this existing layer.
To install the Samsung-developed sensor and chip, users can download an app from the Samsung App Store or the Google Play Store that can connect to a smartphone.
Once connected, the app will tell the smartphone whether it’s secure or not, and allow it to detect when a user is swiping a fingerprint sensor.
Samsung said the biotec technology could be installed in the Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy Tab 5.7, Galaxy Edge and Galaxy Tab 8.4.
The company said it will soon begin offering biometric unlock options for all of its phones, including the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S8.
