The first and most obvious example of this is a new version of Android, which has built-in support for fingerprint readers.
These biometric readers will automatically scan your fingerprint to unlock the phone.
It’s an elegant solution that will allow you to access your device even if you’re using a different screen size.
And there are other biometric solutions that will automatically unlock your device if you enter the correct passcode or if you tap a special area on the phone that indicates the device to be unlocked.
You can even use these biometric features to unlock a locked phone even if your fingerprint is hidden on the display.

Here are the five most common ways you’ll unlock your smartphone without a passcode, no password, or even your fingerprint.
Passcode-based unlocking Your smartphone needs to be locked to be able to unlock it.
This is a common issue in today’s smartphone-first world.
For instance, many people use passcodes to unlock their devices and apps.
The idea behind these passwords is that once you enter your passcode it’s impossible to remove.
You might even find it useful to use these passwords to unlock devices with multiple passwords, so you can use them for different things.
If you’re in a pinch, you can also use your phone to unlock an unlocked device from your home, but it can also be tricky to do so without a keychain or a PIN code.
There’s a solution for this, though.
For now, your phone is locked by default.
You’ll need to get your finger on the back of the phone, where the fingerprint sensor resides, to unlock this part of your device.
This can be a challenge if you have a bad thumb.
You won’t be able get your thumb to do much, though, so this will require a bit of luck.
With your finger at the back, hold down the volume down button for a few seconds, then tap and hold the Home button and the power button at the same time for a couple of seconds to unlock.
If your finger does not unlock the home button, you’ll have to tap and release the Home and power buttons again.

If, however, you want to scan all your fingers at once, you have to manually touch the sensor to unlock using the power and volume buttons.
If the sensor is detected to be the same as the device you’re trying to unlock, it’ll be able unlock the smartphone with the fingerprint, but you’ll need another touch.
